FAQs

What is the difference between session proposals and scientific abstracts?

The session proposals are panel or interactive proposals that eventually become the educational content of the Forum: the plenaries and concurrent sessions. The abstracts are research-based projects that eventually become the posters and oral presentations at the Forum.

When are session proposals accepted?

Session proposals are accepted starting February 14 until the deadline on March 21. Notifications will be made in May. Session submission is now closed.

When are scientific abstracts accepted?

Scientific abstracts are accepted starting March 7 until the deadline on April 11. Notifications will be made in June. Abstract submission is now closed.

I am not PPFA/SFP/ARHP affiliated. Can I still attend the Forum?

Yes, everyone committed to advancing access to safe, convenient, and high-quality family planning is welcome. Please contact the Forum Conference Team for more information about registration.

I want to stay onsite at the same hotel as the Forum, is there a room block set up or a way to get a discounted rate?

Yes! We have a room block set up with a negotiated rate of $220 (plus tax) for conference attendees. Information about the hotel will be available once registration launches.

Do you accept check payments for conference registration fees?

We do accept checks. Please make them out to Planned Parenthood Federation of America and be sure to include "2018 Forum Registration fees" in the memo line. Checks can be mailed to the following address: Planned Parenthood Federation of America, 123 William St., NY, NY 10038.
